Certificate of Origin
Thank you for owning one of my knives! This knife was Benchmade by Dave Evans and was completed in 2003. It is completely hand-made and one-of-a-kind. No computerized equipment, fixtures or jigs were used in making this knife. It was proudly made with my hands in my shop, right here in the United States of America.
This knife was flat-ground from an old file that had most of the teeth worn off. This steel was very hard from the factory and was tempered by many years of work and temperature changes, making some of the toughest steel there is. This is the very best knife I know how to make.
Please give it the same care you would a quality firearm; do not store it in the sheath, and keep it dry, with a periodic light coating of oil or wax to prevent deterioration and discoloring. It should provide many years of enjoyable service with minimal care and I hope it will become a trusted companion.
