Thank you for owning one of my knives! This knife was Benchmade by Dave Evans and was completed in 2003. It is completely hand-made and one-of-a-kind. No computerized equipment, fixtures or jigs were used in making this knife. It was proudly made with my hands in my shop here in the U.S.A.
Every knife is normalized twice, annealed, hardened twice and tempered three times. This extra effort yields a very strong blade with enough flexibility to work well without breaking or chipping with normal use. This is the very best knife I know how to make.
Please give it the same care you would a quality firearm; do not store it in the sheath, and keep it dry, with a periodic light coating of oil or wax to prevent deterioration and discoloring. It should provide many years of enjoyable service with minimal care and I hope it will become a trusted companion.
